RMD Construction LLC was founded in January 2016 by Bob DiCostanzo, with 40 years of diverse construction experience, to provide general contracting services to the self-storage industry. Since that time, RMD has completed or has underway 50 ground-up and renovation projects totaling 4,000,000 square feet and $148,000,000 in construction costs.
From single story facilities to large multi-story climate-controlled facilities, RMD is known as an expert in self-storage construction and has the capability to assist our clients throughout the U.S. We are currently licensed in AZ, CA, CO, FL, IN, LA, NC, NE, NM, NV, TX and VI, as well as various municipalities throughout the Midwest and Northeast
Preconstruction Planning
RMD provides cost estimates based on preliminary architectural drawings and our historical cost data so the owner can perform feasibility studies and explore financing options early in the development process. During the design development phase, RMD provides advice and value engineering to assure the most efficient and economical structural, mechanical, and electrical systems are in place for your project.
General Contracting

Complete services including bidding/awarding subcontracts, onsite supervision, job cost accounting, project management, subcontractor draws, quality control, scheduling, municipal inspections, and project closeout
Design/Build
During the Design/Build process, RMD works collaboratively with the architect and engineers as a team from project conception to project completion. This method optimizes fast track scheduling and provides the best overall construction value for the client.
